Had to visit the Watsonville Community Hospital emergency center for a nasty case of flu. I was taken in quickly but had to spend nearly three hours before a doctor could see me. However, the doctor’s behavior made up for the wait. He was very gentle and had excellent bedside manners. He was a no-nonsense guy, something which I liked very much. He asked me relevant questions and then gave a prescription for meds as well as a shot. If it were not the longgggg wait, I would have rated this visit as a great visit. But then, that’s how an emergency room would function, I guess

Incapable, incompetent, plain stupid!!!!

My MD referred me to this hospital for lower back pain. I went into the hospital, and there was nobody to either greet me or take my details. I wandered around with the pain for nearly an hour. Finally, a nurse came and asked me to fill the details and then she vanished. I had to wait for another 20 to 30 minutes before another nurse came and collected the form. I am taken in and triaged. The doctor came and inspected the area, writes pain meds and says nothing to worry. So I wasted nearly two hours just for a script of painkillers.

I had to visit another ER who ordered scans which showed the presence of mass which was hidden behind my right kidney. If you want to while away time and do not care about being misdiagnosed, then be my guest and head to Watsonville Community Hospital.

We were visiting our friends when I had a bad fall and ended up injuring my head and chin. I was taken to this ER. My wife filled out the form that was provided, and the treatment started immediately. They took a CT scan, flushed the wound, and I ended up getting four stitches on the forehead and seven on my chin. We reside in San Francisco's Bay area. The ER visit there is a game of patience that you play with the staff. There have been visits where I have waited for nearly 10 hours just to get a flu shot or pain meds.

Compared to that ER, Watsonville Community ER is 1000 time better. We were out of the ER in less than three hours. The staff was excellent during the whole time!
