Excellent facilities at UPMC Hamot Hospital. I had to visit the ER a few days back due to a medical emergency, and I was taken care off very quickly. The staff out there really care for their patients and won’t hesitate to walk that extra mile to make the patient feel comfortable and provide quality care. Won’t hesitate to return.

I have heard many horror stories but have never encountered them, and I have been visiting this hospital for nearly three years now for different reasons. My aged parents also get care here. The doctors and staff are compassionate, friendly, very professional, and accommodating. My parents nor I have faced any bad services. Maybe it is luck, but then who cares

Excellent service by very courteous and professional staff. I have been a regular at this place and have never been disappointed with the quality of care that I have received. Would not hesitate in returning if the need arises

The doctors and the nurses are excellent...they treated me very well. The only problem which has left a very bitter taste in the mouth is the valet parking. These people do not have any work ethics. An idiot blocked the entrance towards the hospital, and I literally had to push him away to enter. They were also very rude and using highly inappropriate language. I was asked to get the vehicle on my own because he was busy texting his girlfriend.

BEWARE!!!!

Seek care at this hospital only if you have their BS insurance. If not, then 99.9% times, you would be rejected. I know many people who have family doctors associated with UPMC and now due to the stupid decision have to search for other family doctors. Transferring my care ASAP

I am not sure about others, nor am I sure about the so-called negative reviews. I have always had a wonderful hospital experience whenever I visited UPMC Hamot. The doctors and nurses have always treated me with respect. The doctors also have the patience to listen to you and then make a diagnosis. I may have visited the ER five to six times over the last few years, and I have never been treated disrespectfully. Yes, some of the staff members might not be as jovial and friendly as others, but who are we to tarnish them just because they did not please us. I would definitely recommend UPMC Hamot to all those who seek quality healthcare.

Extremely rude staff. They are lucky that they are in a hospital setting. If they showed this rude behavior in a corporate setting, they would have been kicked out the very next instant.
