Had to visit UPMC Altoona Hospital at least six times last year due to various reasons. I always received excellent care. The food was also edible and not like your ordinary hospital food. The rooms were clean. Staff was excellent

UPMC Altoona Hospital should be shuttered. This hospital sucks. It is mainly due to the rudest and most incompetent nurses you can find in the whole universe. These idiots do not know how to set up an IV. The nurses also do not know how to get a vein. I got stabbed a million times literally before the idiot could get even a vein. Thankfully, the IV team came in the nick of time and saved me from bleeding to death. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Well, nobody wants to visit an ER, especially if you are traveling somewhere and have no clue about the city. Something similar happened to me, and I found myself admitted to this hospital. Though initially worried about the treatment quality, all my worries vanished when I saw the bedside manners of the doctors and the nurses. The medical team was highly competent and knew what they were doing. The nurses were personable, very friendly, and attentive. They were ready to go the extra mile if it made me comfortable. Thanks to their lovely care, I was out of the hospital within three days

Excellent!!!

This word suits the people who run the show at UPMC Altoona Hospital. They are highly competent, very friendly and ready to talk with you to know what ails you. The premises is spic and span. The food is also great. Overall, a wonderful hospital that would treat you and not run after your money.
