This hospital sucks!!!! Absolutely horrible service. I went to the ER with severe abdominal pain, and for nearly five hours nobody came and even saw me. No medicines, not even some water. Finally, a doctor came and saw me, and gave some painkiller and asked me to return if there is no letup in pain. Four days on, there is still no letup, and I am off to another ER…Wouldn't recommend Unity Point Methodist hospital to anyone.

I am reviewing this damn hospital for its attitude towards people. My mother went to the Methodist ER due to severe back pain. As I was out of town, she called me up from one of the hospital’s phone to inform me. I call back after two hours, and the person at the other end says, no patient with that name has been to the hospital on that day. When I asked whether they can just check, they said, it is not their job. Irritated, I told the lady, I wanted to speak with the supervisor. She kept me on hold for 30 minutes and then a supervisor came on and informed that my mother had been discharged and she might have reached her home. Without even listening to me, he hung up the phone. Both the supervisor and the lady who answered me the first time were very rude. They were either too lazy to help me or did not know how to get the job done and were not keen to leave their comfort and do some actual work.

The Surgical floor doctors and nurses are very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. My sister was admitted there for DCIS biopsy followed by lumpectomy two years ago. They did a thoroughly professional job. If you want to undergo any procedure, then I highly recommend Unity Point Methodist. The icing on the cake was the quick registration and a negligible “wait time.” I thank everyone for taking good care of my sister.

Unity Point Methodist has one of the best ER in Peoria. I've been to St. Francis, but it has been a horrible experience every single time. I had developed severe pain in my stomach and was rushed to Methodist where they wheeled me in and triaged me and got the test done all within an hour. The test revealed that I needed to have my gallbladder removed. They transferred me to the OT, and I underwent successful surgery. What impressed the most was that I had come alone and was not able to talk with my son. The nurses went out of their way to contact him and explained to him the entire situation.

I got quick yet appropriate care from the soft-spoken and gentle nurses as well as excellent doctors and technicians.

I delivered my munchkin here two years ago. I must say the maternity wing was the best. Everything about it was great. Be it facilities, nurses, aides or doctors, all were wonderful and caring. The way they interacted with their patients, it was clear that they loved the job they were doing.

This review is for the Unity Point Methodist ER.

ER nurses are highly unprofessional and extremely rude. My boy was wincing in pain, and one of these idiots came and shouted at him for making noise. No wonder there no waiting time at this ER…people would prefer going to a better place and waiting for a bit longer as they know, they will be in better hands. I would never return to this ER again!!!!

The surgical team and the post-op team at UnityPoint Methodist are great. They are knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. I underwent a procedure there. The entire staff was very helpful and made sure that my stay was as comfortable as possible. The check-in was smooth, the procedure was successful, and the check-out was also hassle-free; and so was the billing.
