The emergency room is absolutely terrible. I have visited a few level 1 trauma ERs, and I was not made to wait for such long. I waited for nearly three hours before I saw the face of the doctor. All he did was see me and talk to me for 1 to 2 minutes and then walk off. After he goes, I wait for another half-an-hour and just when I thought I was getting some treatment, the shift changes, and I end up waiting again. I might have waited for nearly four to five hours with severe back pain. Finally, after eons, a nurse comes, gives me medicine and discharge papers.

It is not done yet. These idiots bill me and send the bill to me instead of the insurance company and the insurance company is having nothing to do with it….incompetence has a limit

I found this hospital efficient. Nothing like the finest of them, but really efficient. I was visiting El Paso when my wife developed a sudden asthma attack, and we had to rush her here. The staff took her in immediately. The doctor came to see her within minutes and figured out it is a severe attack and proceeded with the treatment. They also got in touch with her primary and thanks to the quick action; they were able to save my wife. I am thrilled with the service provided. The hospital also has a wonderful gift shop. Extremely impressive!!!

The nursing staff and the doctors at Providence Memorial are great. They are attentive. I underwent an invasive surgery a few months back, and they took good care of me. My father was hospitalized here some time ago and received the same level of care. My toddler was also in this hospital, and they took good care of him also. Overall, a wonderful hospital with great caring and highly professional staff.

How much would a three-hour visit to the ER with only a urine test performed cost?

Mine cost $3000. I underwent a urine test for kidney stones, and it returned negative for blood. The doctor spoke with us for maybe 10 minutes, but he did not give any medications. I can agree if it is in the range of $1000, but $3000 is excessive. Don’t you think so? The staff was good and treated us well, but the high costs have definitely impacted me financially. I am not sure if I would be returning anytime soon.
