I was a visitor to this place for four days last week. The nurses, doctors, nursing assistants, and housekeeping staff were all great. They were friendly, very attentive, caring and always smiling. They made sure that I got better quickly. It might sound ironic, but I had a great time while in this hospital and was somewhat sad when it was time for discharge. Thank you, Straub Medical Center, for taking good care of me...

I have always had a good time whenever I visited Straub Medical Center. All departments are great, except Radiology. It is manned by some of the most incompetent technicians I have ever met. I wanted to have an appointment for a CT scan. The tech told me the appointment would be easy-peasy since the CT was wide open. They just asked me to set a time and come. I told them I would come by 10:30 AM after finishing up appointments in other departments. I finish off the appointments a bit early and wait for the call. It is past 10:30, and it reaches 11:00. I go and check with them what is taking so long. They just give me a confused stare and say that there are no appointments vacant till 9:00 PM next week. I argue with them and tell them I was told the CT was wide open, so how can it be packed. They give a surprised stare and say the CT was packed till next week and there was no slot available. They also apologize and say that there might have been some confusion. I was really pissed off but then thought against arguing because I was played on and there was no merit in fighting with the staff that had no clue with their scheduling.

This review is for the Dermatology Straub, Honolulu. It has one of the most amazing customer services. The front desk and the Nurse Practitioner were excellent!! I was taken in as soon as I stepped into the hospital. I was greeted by a very lovely lady, and she proceeded to collect the information right away. It was completed in less than 10 mins. The NP saw me within a few minutes. She was very good and impressed me very much. She was patient, very caring and talked with me. She was able to diagnose me in less than 5 minutes. At no point, did I feel hurried. Highly impressed

A big and ultra huge shout out to the wonderful team of the medical staff at Straub Medical Center. They saved my life. I was visiting Hawaii and ended up eating Space Ice Cream. Little did I know that it had cashews in it. I am very allergic to cashews, and pretty soon I was fighting for my life. I was rushed to Straub Medical Center, and they attended to me almost immediately. They were top-notch from the start to the end. They made me comfortable and also kept my wife in the loop. The best place for any medical emergency in Hawaii
