My review is for the hospital cafeteria. It was great. It had some wonderful options to choose from. The food was also very delicious.

Most importantly, it was reasonably priced. Make no mistake; the staff at the hospital is great. The nursing team is wonderful, very efficient and took great care of my husband and me. The hospital was clean, and there was nothing major to complain of. All in all, a wonderful hospital, a great medical team, and excellent food.

I have chronic stomach pain and have undergone several tests and scans etc. all of which have returned negative. Every time I get stomach pain, I visit St. Vincent Charity Hospital and each time I have returned satisfied with the efforts put in by the doctors and the medical team. My experience the last time, however, was not so satisfactory. The doctor who saw me had one of the worst bedside manners. He was somewhat hyper and talking at the top of his voice. He looked at my chart and was clearly not pleased. He even asked me if I was faking the pain to get medicines. I was aghast. I did not have anything to tell. I asked to at least order some tests, but he said, it would be a waste of time as it would not show up anything. He just gave me a script for OTC pain meds and discharged me. I did not say anything. I would come back later and see another doctor who is well versed with my history and would listen to me.

I had a very good experience at this hospital. The staff was very knowledgeable and had the patience to listen to me. They did not make me feel rushed. I had visited the ER with severe lower back pain, and I was taken in immediately. The on-call doctor was amiable and patiently listened to my problems. He ordered a few tests and then diagnosed me as having a severe muscle pull. He prescribed me necessary medications and then also gave me tips on how to relax the muscles which would be of immense help if there is a recurrence. Highly impressed with the team. I would revisit the hospital in case of any future needs.

St. Vincent Charity Hospital is a good hospital, but the staff is not so friendly. I had visited the ER during late hours. Despite there being hardly any rush, the staff kept me waiting for nearly two hours before I could see a doctor. The doctor looked somewhat harried and was in a hurry to finish the evaluation. He ordered a blood test and an x-ray. I got the results very late and thanks to the “excellent staff” I ended up waiting for nearly six hours at this hospital. The only solace was a kind-hearted RN who at least ensured that I was comfortable during my stay here. The whole visit left a very bad feeling. I would be thinking twice before stepping my foot again.

An average hospital, St. Vincent Charity Hospital is made excellent by its staff. I have visited different departments of this hospital, and every time I have been treated well. The staff is kind, courteous, and very professional. They sure know their way around things. I am very impressed by the whole team and would not hesitate to revisit. I agree that there are a few discordant elements that try to bring down the name of the hospital by their actions, but by God’s grace, they are few and far between. Highly recommend
