One of the worst hospital located in the Fort Wayne area. I had the misfortune of attending the ER and subsequent admission to the surgery section. The staff is insulting, condescending, and do not have manners. They laugh, make fun of others, but the worst part is laughing at the most inappropriate time. I was advised surgery, and the doctor was telling me how important the surgery was for me. The nurses accompanying the doctor were laughing and giggling despite the serious nature of the discussion. I could see from the face of the doctor that he was also getting irritated by this. The nurses also do not have any empathy. Never had to face such ridicule and shameless behavior in a hospital setting. Not planning to return.

The Fort Wayne VA doctors are exceptional and highly knowledgeable. My brother was complaining of some numbness in his leg, and repeated visits to the GP was not proving to be beneficial. Finally, he visited a specialist, and the VA doctor immediately noticed some problem with the pedal pulse. A scan is taken, which showed 95% blockage in the entire leg. Immediate surgery was ordered, and my brother is now recovering well. Thanks to the specialists at St Joe, my brother is still alive and has his leg intact.

A severe accident resulted in my wife being airlifted to St Joe Burn Unit. She underwent several surgeries and multiple skin grafts. Abbie received amazing care from the nurses, doctors, and the entire support staff. The staff kept coming to her room every hour or so, and always had something positive to say. The way they attended to Abbie was amazing. They never kept her waiting or feeling neglected. The room where she stayed was cleaned every day. The food was also good, something not believable, but it is true.

After an arduous four months in the unit, she was discharged. Though some scars remain, thankfully, they are physical and not mental. THANK YOU, St. Joseph, for taking very good care of my wife! All of you would always be in our prayers

One of the most caring hospitals that I have ever attended to. The doctors and the staff are kind and very attentive. They are very professional and know what they are doing. A sincere and heartfelt appreciation to everyone who took great pains to treat me and make me fit and healthy again
