Very happy with the doctors at the St. E’s Youngstown Hospital. They have compassion and seem to care for their patients genuinely. The nurses are also excellent. But I feel that the doctors are a little bit more inclined to treat patients humanely. Very happy with the treatment that I got here. Highly recommend this place.

Pathetic!!! Truly Terrible!!!! Awful!

I was sent to St. E’s Youngstown Hospital by my doctor to get a simple blood draw. Boy, I never knew that there would be such a lengthy registration process before the draw. Added to that, the secretary assigned to take down the details is so slow that she might take an entire day. It took at least an hour to get done by the registration. I asked if it was a one-time process. The curt answer was NO.

Jesus, every time I come to take a blood draw, I would have to have to spend an hour just to fill in my details. IMO registration should not take more than 10 – 15 minutes, 20 minutes tops; no longer than that. My blood draw lasted only three minutes (the phlebotomist was a pro). I sincerely pray that my doctor does not send me here again.

St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is the worst. One has to wait for endless hours before anyone would see you. I had to wait for nearly six hours for getting the results of an x-ray. The ER doctors and nurses are super snobbish and act as if they are doing any favor to us. I asked a nurse if I could get a pillow to rest my leg, she said yes but then vanished, and I did not see her till I was out of the hospital. I saw several nurses and doctors actually standing and talking with each other, but no one was really interested in treating patients. When finally my report came, the doctor saw and said very rudely, “No problem. You can leave.”

Leave I will, but won’t return.

I had visited the Youngstown ER and do not have enough words to praise the efforts of this wonderful team to make me comfortable and treat me ASAP. I visited the ER with severe migraines and uncontrollable chills. The ER staff took me in very quickly, and a doctor attended to me in a few minutes. She ordered a blood test, and while awaiting the results, I started feeling the chills again. The nurse took pity on me and then gave me two warm blankets and a pillow and suggested me to have a nap. I agreed, and it was only the next day morning that I opened my eyes. I asked the nurse why I was not woken up earlier. She gave a beautiful smile and said, “The doctor said she is totally worn out and exhausted. Let her get some sleep. It would not do us any harm.” She was true. I was exhausted when I reached the ER. The nurse gave me the results of the blood tests, which showed nothing problematic. Thanks to the compassionate care, I have decided not to seek care elsewhere but St. E’s Youngstown Hospital.
