Thank You and Thumbs Up to the exceptional people who run the Southside Community Hospital. I have been visiting this hospital quite frequently since 2015, and so has been my family, and we have nothing but praises for these exceptional people. We did encounter a few rotten apples, but they were very few and far between.

Our latest visit was a few days back. My wife had to visit the hospital ER with severe stomach pain which was diagnosed as diverticulitis. The medical team was extremely helpful and provided the best care they could offer. My wife was speechless, and all she could tell them after such exceptional care was “Thank you.”

We got a nasty little surprise after my wife’s first visit to this ER. My wife went to the ER with severe stomach pain. She was in severe pain and crying. The doctor diagnosed Janice with a bladder infection and prescribed meds to address it. When things did not improve even a wee bit, then we decided to seek the opinion of a specialist. Visited an urologist. The urologist called and got the records. According to him, my wife did not have a bladder infection in the first place. It was shocking….how could you end up misdiagnosing so badly. Pitiful! Just waiting for the bill, and then it is goodbye to this shithole!!!

This is strictly an ex-employee’s review. I've worked at this place for nearly seven years, and this had become my home. The co-workers are excellent. The doctors and nurses are amazing and give it their best shot to ensure that patients recover completely from their ailments and go home cured and completely satisfied. I would recommend this wonderful hospital to anyone and everyone. This is also a great place to work

Care at Southside Community Hospital is a hit or miss. Barring a handful of excellent nurses, the rest of the nursing team is average. The same is the case with doctors. Sometimes, you might end up getting care from an exceptional doctor, but the exact opposite is also possible.

My husband had gone there with severe stomach pain, and he was diagnosed with kidney stones. What does he get? Ibuprofen…..yes ibuprofen. You get the picture.

Then as with every other hospital, there is the billing department. They completely mess up your bill and then will never make an effort to correct it. The worst part about this department is that my family always comes to know about the bill amount from the collection agency, and not from the hospital itself. Visit this place if you are very, very, very desperate to seek care

I underwent a procedure yesterday. I was moved by the experience I got here. The kindness and compassion I got at Southside Community Hospital was something that could not be compared with any other hospital. The information desk staff, the fellas who completed my paperwork, nurses, as well as the anesthesiologist were kind, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable. Will not go to any other hospital after stumbling upon this one
