The wonderful care provided by Sky Ridge has hooked me for life. I will not hesitate to drive even away from Aurora if I am getting treated at Sky Ridge. I can put faith in these wonderful people to save my life during an emergency. I'm confident about the comfort that I would get at this hospital. Yes, it would cost me a bit more, but then what good money is if it cannot save our lives. I appreciate the efforts made by the entire staff who ensured that I was made comfortable and given the best treatment possible. One does not get joy when one is required to visit a hospital, but then if it Sky Ridge, then at least you can be assured that you are in safe hands.

If you love yourself, then you would not even step into this place. The staff has no manners and does not take patient care very seriously. I was rushed to Sky Ridge ER sometime back with a bloodied hand after a bike accident. Though I was checked in very quickly, I had to wait agonizingly for a few hours before a medical professional comes. She was a PA and did the first aid and then discharged me. No scans, no stitches. According to her, the wound was too small for stitches. The last time I checked, the FDA or AMA had not mentioned how large a wound should be for it to get stitches. Thanks to these idiots, I had to visit another ER, where I was given proper wound care and yes, stitches to my injured hand. Guess, the FDA might have approved it in between!!!

I do not mind driving extra miles to reach this facility if I need any medical care. The waiting time for being seen by a doctor is very less; the staff knowledgeable, personable, and chipper. They also give complimentary coffee (at least I got one). The aesthetics in the ER is great, and one does not get the feeling that you are waiting in the ER. Nobody likes visiting the ER, but if the need arises, then I would bet my hedges on Sky Ridge. At least, I know I would be in great hands.

Staff at Sky Ridge is great, but the billing department is atrocious. They do not hesitate to charge money for things that would have cost mere hundreds. Two months back, I had visited the hospital and was advised to get IV fluids since I was dehydrated. The quality of care was exceptional, and I was released after a few hours. I got a shock of my life when I saw the bill. They billed me more than $5000 for IV fluids. This when the doctor had charged around $250. I bluntly told them this is not going to be settled and I intend to contest this. Their answer sealed the deal – “Okay. We will then send it to collections.”

Ok, I've delivered three children, two at Littleton Adventist Hospital and young ED at Parker Adventist. Felt these hospitals were the best. But when I saw the care that was provided to my sister while she was in labor, while she was delivering and after she delivered, I had to admit that this was the best hospital. I have not visited different sections of this hospital, so won’t be in the right position to talk about it, but at least the labor and delivery area rocks. The staff, room, and cafeteria were all at the top…
