I had to be a guest of this hospital last month after I landed awkwardly on the steps and ended up breaking my left leg. I was first taken to the ER where after preliminary treatment, the doctor ordered surgery. I ended up getting a plate and a few screws in my leg. The surgery was conducted by a wonderful surgeon. He sure knew what he was doing, and the surgery went off smoothly. Even in the recovery unit, I was treated well. The medical team provided excellent care and made sure that I was recovering well. I am glad that I was brought to Sentara Albemarle because I do not think I would have got such excellent care anywhere else. I am back on my feet though gingerly, but there has been no pain or complications

My brother was hospitalized at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center after he suffered a stroke. He was admitted to the 3rd floor, where he was under the care of an outstanding medical staff. The nurses and doctors were great. The team was ready to walk that extra mile to make sure that he was comfortable during his stay here. The food service is also respectful and went out of their way to make sure that he was enjoying the meal that he was having. The imaging staff was also great. The hospital took excellent care of my brother, and we are very pleased with the service that we got here. Keep up the good work!!!

Sentara Albemarle is a peculiar hospital. The doctors, nurses, as well as other staff members, are wonderful human beings and have exceptional bedside manners. The only problem with this hospital is that they are not professional. They have no clue as to what is happening around in the hospital and how to treat an illness. My wife had gone there once, and they ended up misdiagnosing her ailment. I had gone a few days back, and they were not sure how to treat my problem. They wanted to run a few completely unnecessary tests. I asked them to discharge me as I was uncomfortable with the way they were approaching my illness. I would not risk my life coming here again.

My father had to be rushed to the Sentara Albemarle ER with severe chest pain. He was taken in quickly, and appropriate treatment was started. The staff was very courteous, cooperative, professional, and knowledgeable. The way they treated my father, I felt that the staff genuinely cared for him. Three cheers to Sentara Albemarle ER
