This review is for what happened a few months back, in August precisely. My wife was supposed to undergo surgery at this hospital, and the surgery was scheduled in the morning. We were told to come early, so we reached the hospital by 7:45 am. Our consultation with the anesthesiologist was around 9:00 am. We meet the anesthesiologist who politely asked if the doctor had come. When we answered in negative, he asked us to wait for some time and that the surgeon would come down. I believe the surgeon was Dr. Chandra.

Fast forward three hours, and we still see no signs of the doctor. I go and talk with his nurse, and the lovely lady says she would check where he is and get back. After half an hour, the nurse comes and very sheepishly tells that the doctor is doing another surgery and says that this was a regular feature. She said he would join us in another 10 to 15 minutes. We decided to wait. That 10 to 15 minutes extend to an hour and this time we decided enough is enough and ask the nurse when this charade would end. She answers, “I do not have an idea.”

Like that idiot values his time, we also value our time. We were hungry and goddamn angry. This idiot should have at least told his office that he would be going to another surgery and would be late. At least, we would have rescheduled the surgery. What irritated us the most was that the surgery which this bozo was doing was not even his patient.

We just decided to cancel the surgery and went to our PCP, told him the story and arranged for surgery at another hospital ten days later. Thanks to Mr. Chandra (do not feel like calling him a doctor), we have decided never to revisit Scripps Green Hospital.

I am a regular at Scripps Green for all my imaging and other major procedures, and I have always had an excellent experience here. In fact, I never faced any issues until the last visit. I stay at Oceanside and had arranged for a nuclear medicine test, scheduled a month back. I work in a hospital environment, so know the things that go on in the hospital. Coming back to my review, I go to the hospital and get the imaging done and return home. As I was about to open the door, I get a call, and the caller at the other end says “Can you come back for reimaging? We have imaged the wrong part. The isotope is active, so won’t take much time.” I was like... ARE YOU KIDDING... driving from Oceanside to Scripps Green again just because you get it wrong. Thanks to them, I scheduled the test at another medical center whether they imaged the correct part.

Scripps Green is an amazing hospital manned by one of the most competent and wonderful staff...I underwent surgery on 12/20/2018 on my left ankle, had to stay back due to certain other issues and because the doctor wanted to observe me for 24 hours...Wonderful care!!! Though the entire staff was great, two people stood out – PA Steph and nurse Alison. They ensured that I was comfortable during my stay here. They make a fabulous team!!! Thank you, everyone, for taking good care of me!!

As one enters the hospital, they cannot help but look up at the open cat walks which can be seen from top to bottom. The building has a spectacular ceiling with some beautiful aesthetics which gives it a feeling of a church. The information desk has a working fountain which does help in maintaining the calmness in the middle of chaos. They also have a gift shop as well as working grand piano which I was told is played often. Now that is something one can look forward while visiting the hospital. It goes a long way in livening up the atmosphere. This hospital is run by very competent and wonderful staff.

I recently visited the Scripps Green hospital, and I have to admit that going to hospitals makes me very nervous and often results in panic attacks. But I was in for a pleasant surprise. The staff was extremely caring. They were competent, trained, professional, friendly and ever ready to help. The charge nurses were wonderful leaders, and I am sure that the nurses look up to them for guidance. Every CNA I met was smiling and helpful. In short, all of them loved their job. The food was also excellent. I can say that if it weren’t for the scrubs and medicines, I would have felt as if I was in a five-star hotel.

The doctors, nurses, and staff working here are the best. I was rushed to Scripps Green Hospital after a severe allergic reaction to medicine which made my throat swell up and was effectively choking me from inside. The ER staff took prompt action and even before I knew, I was triaged, tested for other reactions and the doctor was called who started immediate treatment. Thanks to their quick care, I was able to get back on my feet after a day.

I have learned a precious lesson in life. Never settle for anything less then the best when it comes to healthcare, especially if your or your loved one's lives are at stake. Thank you, Scripps Green!

I hate visiting doctors or hospitals. Going to my PCP is a big ritual for me. But whenever I needed any imaging or any specialist opinion, then this is the place where I would come. I get my tests done here, and it has always been very painless and quick. I last went to this hospital during a Saturday afternoon and event then the care was exceptional. There was no waiting time, and everyone was awesome.

This hospital is the best when it comes to healthcare. My entire family seeks their healthcare at this hospital — my parents, my in-laws, my children, my cousins, etc. My wife underwent heart surgery here a year back, and the staff that took care of her was great. Right from the check-in staff to nurses who weighed her and took her vitals, to a cardiologist who gave the referral to a cardiothoracic surgeon, every single person was great.

For us, bedside manners are very important, and this team out here has wonderful bedside manners. I can trust this hospital to take good care of my family even when I am not around.

These guys are also a stickler for time, and I do not see any long waiting hours in this hospital. Yes, there is around 10 to 15 minutes wait period, but then that is common. Even if they are late for the appointments, the doctors do not make you feel rushed.

The list is endless, but as I said, this hospital is good. Period.
