Admission up front – this review is only for the Labor and Delivery Department. I have not been to other departments, so have absolutely no idea of how these work or how the staff works.

My wife checked in at 5:00 AM on Sunday. She did not deliver until the next day morning. During this time, the nurses and the aides treated us perfect. They did not put any restriction of visiting the room or going out…nothing of that sort. They were excellent and seeing my wife’s condition did not even strictly enforce the “two visitors” rule. That did not mean that we could do what we want. They were very strict when it came to maintaining silence and following other protocols on the floor.

Once our baby daughter was born, my wife was shifted to the recovery room. It was small and could not accommodate me. But they allowed me to drop in frequently. During the entire time we were in the hospital, we were treated very well. Oh, almost forgot—the department was impeccable and tidy. The washroom was kept clean, and one would need to have a magnifying glass to find out any dirt

My husband underwent surgery at this wonderful hospital. We were treated well. They cared for him so well that we got a feeling that we were human beings and not a money minting machine. The staff, including the doctors, nurses, anesthesiologist, was very professional, caring and knew what they were doing. I must say the quality of care and service was way beyond our expectations!!!!!

I did not have a good hospital experience at Saline Memorial Hospital. I had giddiness and dull pain in my chest. Worried it might be a heart attack, I called 911, and an ambulance brought me here. I was taken in pretty quickly, and the doctor ordered some tests. I was admitted for observation. So far so good.

Once it turns out that it was not a heart attack, I am asked to wait in the ER waiting room for the discharge papers. I did not think too much about it, but then I ended up waiting for more than three hours to get the discharge papers. Finally, a nursing aide comes and gives me the papers and then walks off. I was pissed. No doctor or NP or PA to come and tell me what had happened to me in the first place and what should be done if it recurs. Nothing.

These idiots did not even help in calling a cab for me. I am absolutely disgusted by the way I was treated. It confirms what I had in my mind always. Saline Memorial will treat patients like a king if they have some serious disease as it would help them squeeze out more money when compared to patients who do not need admissions. Thank you for nothing...

Our first visit to this hospital. My father underwent surgery. The staff and the volunteers treated us well and were an absolute pleasure to work with. We are happy with the quality of care. The hospital itself was spic and span. The cafeteria was also very nice and served good edible food. Keep up the good work.
