We've been at Rush Oak Park Hospital several times. We have had major operations done here, blood works, mammogram for my wife and mother, ER visits. And must say that every visit has been great. The staff has always treated us fairly, gave respect, and most importantly treated us as human beings and not some numbers. The quality of care during all these visits have been excellent, and we have no complaints in that regard. We have been satisfied and would surely come back if any medical need arises

I had to rush to Rush Oak Park ER at 2:00 AM one Friday night a few months back after I started feeling uneasy and felt twitching of my right hand. My husband drove me down here, and I was triaged very quickly. The triage nurse was a wonderful guy who listened to me very patiently and then ensured that I was with the doctor in less than five minutes. The doctor was beside me quickly. She had excellent bedside manners and did not rush me through. She ordered all the necessary tests. She was not convinced with the result and ordered another test which showed that there was a problem with my brain when it came to sending signals to my right hand. She immediately ordered my admission and patched my care with a neurologist. Extremely happy with the way she went about her job. Very professional. After a stay of a week, I was released. You can say that I am a happy patient!

The quality of care was excellent, but the billing left a lot to be desired. They had got my details wrong, and for a two-minute ER visit and an x-ray, they charged me over $1500. I agree charges would be high at the ER, but it would not be as high as $1500. I asked for an itemized bill, and these bozos provided a bill with one item “charges for acute care services provided.” Guys, you could do much better than this. This level of open loot is making me think twice before coming here…..
