Had to rush to Regions two nights back after my son broke his tibia during soccer practice. The orthopedic staff and doctors were simply awesome. They took very good care of my son. They were very professional and did not make him wait for long. He was taken in and taken back pretty quickly. The doctor came, ordered an x-ray. The x-ray showed a clean break, and my son was transferred to the orthopedic department where they did the needful. Luckily, the fracture was not a very major one that needed surgery. The doctor put his leg in a splint, and we were out of the hospital within a matter of a few hours. Everyone whom we interacted during this period was excellent and sweet to him. I would highly recommend this wonderful hospital, especially its orthopedic department

Horrible experience!!!!

I wonder how a person can lie with a straight face. Regions Hospital nurses are incredibly rude, the doctors inept, and they do not hesitate to lie to me. These idiots wanted to discharge me so that they could get another person on my bed. I had gone there for severe lower back pain, and the doctor suspected kidney stones and ordered blood tests, and urine sample, and a CT. A nurse comes and draws some blood, gets a call, and keeps the vial on the table and goes away. Same was the case with the urine sample. I was not taken to the lab for a scan. After lying on the bed for nearly four hours, a nurse comes and says your tests are okay and you are being discharged. I was astounded. I asked her how you can conduct a test when the samples are still lying on the table. She said she was talking about scans. I replied nobody took me to the lab. The doctor comes and says he was mistaken, and my pain could be just muscle pull and hands me the discharge paper. I ended up getting admitted to another hospital where a much serious illness was diagnosed. Simply atrocious. I would never revisit, and I would also encourage my family members and friends to seek care elsewhere.

Regions Hospital ER is one of the best ERs that I have visited. The staff was very friendly and did not hesitate to answer questions. All the doctors were also very friendly. I had to undergo a surgery for removal of a lump on my leg which incidentally was found by the ER doctor. The surgery went off well. The surgery department was also very good, but somehow got a feeling that people were friendlier at the ER department.

Have taken my father to Regions at least three times and on all the occasions we received wonderful customer service. Due to advanced age, he has complex health issues, and treating him can be very frustrating. I have not yet come across a single individual who was cribbing against him. All of them were very friendly and treated him with respect. He received compassionate care. We are happy with the way he has been treated. Would love to revisit in case of any medical need
