Ransom Memorial Hospital is the best hospital that I have been to so far in my life, and I am 67 years old. I visited the hospital due to a medical emergency with my granddaughter. She was having breathing difficulties, and we rushed her here at 1:30 AM. We thought they might not look after her, ridiculous thought, but then who knows….

We were in for a pleasant surprise. The staff treated us very well. They took excellent care of my grandkid. The wait time was very negligible, and the doctor was beside us within a matter of minutes. My grandkid was given breathing treatment. An x-ray showed nothing to worry. The doctor deduced it might have been due to some allergic reaction and asked us to get a complete allergy test. Once she was stabilized and the doctor thought she is perfectly alright, he discharged us.

We had exceptional care rendered to us. Not only the doctor and the nurses, even the receptionist, the security guard, the insurance lady, everybody was very friendly and gave us a wonderful smile even at this hour.

Thank you for everything

Finally, a 5 star hospital in our own Ottawa. I have already started talking about it with my friends and family members.

This is my story. I was walking to a nearby store with my daughter when my daughter slipped and to save her from falling on the pavement; I dived forward. She steadied herself, and I went and hit the curb, it was very comical when I think of it now. I felt immediate pain in my wrist and hand up to the elbow. To make sure everything was okay, we came to this hospital. Seeing my condition, the nurse took me in immediately, and the doctor came and saw me within seconds. He ordered an x-ray, and it showed fractures of the wrist, ulna, and the elbow. The doctor gave a painkiller and admitted me for surgery. My surgery was conducted the next day morning by a wonderful surgeon, Dr. Kenneth Wertzberger. The surgery was successful, and I was on my way by the end of the second day. Completely satisfied with the treatment I received.

This place is the best for treating minor illness like a cold or a flu…but these people cannot catch any serious ailment. My father had complained of severe chest pain, and we rushed him to this ER. These idiots could not catch the cause of his chest pain and gave a painkiller and discharged him. I took him to Olathe Med, and this team quickly understood that he had a heart attack. They admitted him immediately and started appropriate treatment. The staff at Ransom were polite and caring, but it is of no use if you cannot catch any major ailments
