I had to visit the ER after developing a sudden fever and chills. Having reduced immunity due to cancer has its problems. The ER staff was quick and triaged me within a few minutes. In a matter of minutes, I was thoroughly evaluated by a wonderful gentleman who had excellent manners.

He orders some tests, and when the results came, spent some time in explaining the results and the precautions to take to prevent a recurrence

Did not have a good experience at the Providence ER. The ER was barely full, and it still took the triage nurse an hour to triage me and then another four-hour wait for seeing the doctor, who it seemed was very busy. He just rushed through my care. He ordered routine tests and did not even discuss the results with me. Standard meds were prescribed, and he just went off.

Feeling dissatisfied, I ended up visiting another hospital, where I received proper care.

Hands down, Provi is the best hospital when compared to Alaska Regional Hospital. The staff is much more cordial and helpful. They look genuinely concerned for you and would always make efforts to make your stay comfortable and treat you in a better way. The doctors are ready to listen to you and would include your inputs in the treatment plan. They treat you like humans. Would continue seeking care at this hospital

I was an in-patient here for a few days, and it would be an understatement if I say I received good care. I received exceptional care. The nurses were lovely and friendly. Very professional, they were very attentive to my needs and ensured that I did not face any issues while I was an in-patient here. The doctors were highly knowledgeable and did not hesitate to answer any questions. They kept my family regularly updated about my health status.

Very impressed!!! Highly recommended
