Presence St. Joseph Medical Center is great. I was waiting for a friend who was set to undergo a major surgery. The whole process went off so smoothly that I felt I needed to talk about these wonderful people, so writing this review.

We arrived at the surgery center at 9:00 am, as informed earlier. The surgeon came and talked to us and answered all our questions. They informed us at 10:10 am that the surgery would be starting soon and things would go off successfully. At 10:30 am, the surgeon comes into the waiting room and tells he is ready for the surgery. I was kept informed throughout the surgery and felt very relieved when I was told the surgery went off successfully.

Nothing but heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful team.

St. Joseph is a super facility. I was visiting a friend a few days back and was amazed at well-oiled machinery. You go in and park in #1 free parking garage. An employee would hand you a visitor tag and direct to your room. Signage is pretty good and leads you to the correct room. They also had a coffee shop, which unfortunately was closed when I came. My friend received a great quality of care. While waiting on him, I saw many nurses who came and checked on him. His room also had a whiteboard where all visit details are noted. I am happy for him. I highly recommend this hospital.

Things are crazy at St. Joseph. My father who has advanced dementia was admitted at this hospital. After being examined, he was admitted to the floor. I went ahead and told the nurse about my dad’s condition, also informing her all the medications that he was supposed to take. Things go smoothly till the shift changes. The previous nurse does not relay anything to the next nurse, and the nurse ends up asking my father about his problem and various medications. Needless to say, they ended up wrongly medicating him. When I asked the nurse why was he wrongly medicated, the nurse says she had asked my dad. I was flabbergasted. I mean cant these idiots read the chart or at least ask the previous nurse about the patient. Thanks to them, my father had to stay two more days at this fucking hospital.

St. Joseph SUCKS!!!!! Everything sucks!!!! I had called the hospital for fixing an appointment. I was kept on hold for 30 minutes; this despite the phone message saying that the next available person would take the call. After 30 minutes, a person finally answers the call and he just bluntly tells me to hang up and call again, and one should not stay on hold for such a long time. I was gobsmacked! That is not what the phone message keeps on repeating every two to three minutes. If the customer service is so bad, then I shudder to think about the quality of care.

Nothing but appreciation for this hospital.

I have visited this place a few times, and each time I have been treated very well. The staff is friendly and incredibly helpful. The service reminded me of an era where all patients were treated respectfully.
