My 65-year-old step-mom had a slip-and-fall accident in her home and ended up fracturing her neck and hip. She was rushed to OHSU and underwent emergency surgery to repair the fracture. The quick-thinking on the part of the angels working there helped in saving her life. I was in Seattle when the whole episode happened. The nurses were kind and called me to inform me about the accident and what steps were they taking to save her. I reached Portland some six hours after the surgery. My step-mom was under sedation, and the nurses ensured that nothing bothered her. These folks provide excellent care, and I was a first-hand witness to it. The way they treated daily emergencies was an act in itself. I hardly came across people who were terribly upset with the care that they received here. My family would be ever grateful to the wonderful nurses and doctors for taking such good care of my step-mom.

OHSU is a teaching hospital. The nurses and doctors treat us as guinea pigs and use us as stepping stone to reach the next stage in their professional career/education. I had the misfortune of being a patient here and was misdiagnosed by the doctors. Moreover, important paperwork for insurance claim was misplaced by these idiots. Thanks to these nincompoops, what was supposed to be a simple insurance matter has turned into a mess, and now collection agency is hounding me. AVOID THIS HOSPITAL TO RETAIN YOUR SENSE OF SEMBLANCE

Excellent patient care!!! These people do a lot of hard work but are not given enough recognition. The nurses and doctors made my mother feel wanted through their outstanding care. We will not hesitate to return for any medical needs. Thank you, OHSU for taking good care of my mother

My wife was recently admitted at OHSU after a fall that resulted in fractured ribs. Though I knew that OHSU is one of the top-notch hospitals in the entire state, I had not experienced their services until now – either as a patient or from a family standpoint. These folks took excellent care of my wife. Their ICU and the step-down unit were out of this world. The staff who handled her were highly professional and knew what had to be done. Thanks for the wonderful care provided
