Is this lady slow?

I had to rush here with my son after he developed a pink eye. The pediatrician was a wonderful guy who addressed my son’s problems very well. What made the whole experience a lousy one was the attitude of one nurse – Becki or Betty (an older lady).

She took a lot of time to give shots to my son. My son was fussing and getting irritated and was becoming very restless. Despite me informing the nurse as well as standing out of the room, the lady was least bothered. She stopped thrice to talk with her colleagues while coming to give the shots. There was the least sense of urgency! She’s good when it comes to giving shots, but then she does not value other’s time, which is not a thing to do, especially for patients who somehow want to end the whole thing and go home….

My family has always received excellent service here. The doctors, nurses, and even the support services are very friendly. The doctors and nurses are supportive and highly informative. Sometimes, the wait times can border ridiculousness, but then a polite request can help you to reschedule.

My last visit was a week ago after I ended up in a bicycle accident. The doctor and the nurses were excellent and took exceptional care of me. Really appreciate the manner in which they treated me. I will not hesitate to come in the future

Competent and caring physicians and staff. The doctors take their time in treating a patient. They do not rush through the care. Everything is explained to the patient. If tests are done, then the results are explained. They even give tips to prevent recurrence of fevers, colds, etc.

The staff is very courteous and friendly. Really appreciate whatever they have done till now. Thank you

I only visit a hospital if it is welcoming me, I mean the feel, and the staff. I should feel that staff is there to treat me and actually get me better rather than rushing through my care and fleecing my insurance.

I also give a lot of importance to the staff members and doctors seeking consent for any tests and value my choice. If I do not want a CT scan or MRI scan when they are not sure about the outcome, then I do not want it. Period.

I think Ochsner Medical Center ticks all the boxes. Keep up the good work, guys!
