As with any other hospital, NLH’s emergency room leaves a lot to be desired. But other departments especially the Maternity is top notch. The nurses here actually care for your well being and go way above and beyond to ensure that you are as comfortable as possible. The OBGYN staff is also great. These people work together in excellent coordination and ensure that there is no gap in communication. If one desires a break to take a shower or want to prepare for the long night ahead, you can be assured that your child is in safe hands. My three kids were born here and they have turned out well.

NLH’s ER is essentially a mixed bag. The nurses and the support staff are great and very helpful. But the same cannot be said about the ER doctor. He has some of the worst bedside manners that I have come across. I had gone in with a severe migraine, and the doctor thought that I was enacting a drama as I wanted some pain meds. He did not have the patience to listen to me. He just said, “Sorry, can’t give pain meds. We do not do those things here.” Completely pissed off with the way I have been treated. Not planning to come back!

I have always had a pleasant experience whenever I visited this place. The ER doctors and nurses were great and treated me well. The waiting time is also reasonable, and there is no inordinate delay in seeing the doctor unless there is a major emergency, and the doctors are very busy with that. My experience with the imaging section has also been great. Unfortunately, I am accident prone and as such have had my fair share of cracks and fractures. Their x-ray, CT, and MRI departments are excellent. The techs are very accommodating. A top-notch hospital in the neighborhood

I have been to Nathan Littauer Hospital quite a few times, and I have never faced any issues. The nursing team is outstanding, and the doctors very professional and highly competent. They do not hesitate to walk that extra mile to ensure that you get the best quality of care possible. The hospital is very clean. The front desk is very helpful and ready to extend a helping hand whenever required. Long story short, NLH is one of the best hospitals in the Gloversville area.
