We did not go to this hospital because it was the best or any other bullshit stuff people usually throw around. We went because it was the nearest and my wife was in severe agony with neck pain and a pounding headache so severe that we thought she had meningitis. The fact that she had a very high temperature also deepened our suspicions. I told the nurse and the doctors about my suspicion. They did NOTHING, absolutely nothing!! They did not even acknowledge my concerns. The doctor just checked her and said, “You have caught a viral. Here take this.” That was it. Nothing else. ARE YOU SERIOUS?

I had to take her to Cedar Park Regional since she was getting worse and throwing up. They take her in and run some tests which confirm my suspicion…she had bacterial meningitis! The only thing that I have to say about Metroplex is that it should stop calling itself a hospital and should shutter it down. Given the kind of attitude they have for the patients, I do not think it would take long enough to shut it down.

This was my first visit to Metro, and I am delighted with the experience. The front desk was very friendly, prompt and very thorough. The staff offered great service and a medical team including nurses and doctors did not gloss over anything. I was taken in within 20 minutes, and the doctor came in 10 minutes. In short, the time taken from entering the front door to meeting the doctor and leaving the hospital was two hours. I have visited many hospitals, including some of the biggest names in the field of healthcare, but never was my visit so quick.

I took my son to Metro ER on a Wednesday evening, and it was nearly deserted. But that did not distract the nurses. The intake nurse was great and helped us fill up the forms and took him in. The doctor was also very friendly. She was quick with the diagnosis and explained what ailed my son and what all precautions should be taken to prevent recurrence. Never did we feel either rushed or being ignored since there were hardly any patients. I had a great hospital experience and would definitely go back.

Metroplex hospital is a big joke. I do not even want to call it a hospital. The hospital reduced my husband to shambles. He had to endure some pathetic and completely uncouth nursing staff for nearly ten days until I had to file a complaint against them. They then shifted them to a lower floor after closing down the specialized floor as part of a restructuring. Idiots should do restructuring when patients are not there. Shifting a person who needs specialized care and shifting to another ward is completely not done. My husband also complained that he was not even given medicines properly, nor did have any proper wound care. I thought this was synonymous with the so-called specialized floor, but this is the case also in the other floor. The management’s lack of fiscal prudence has hampered efficient patient care. This is horrible. My husband deserved much better. I had to finally get him out this hospital and shift him to Cedar Park Regional for better care.

Our PCP referred us to this hospital. Metro is quick when it comes to dealing with patients. The medical staff is AMAZING!! The on-call ER DR was wonderful and awesome!!! He was straight to the point and did not try to rush us. He explained everything in detail and saved us a lot of money by not ordering any unnecessary tests. Now, who would do that in this day and age???!! Doctors at Metroplex do!!!! They kept us in the loop and ensured that we were comfortable during the time we spent here. Truly thankful!
