Not a specific review, but just a general review to appreciate the hospital.

I have heard some below-par experiences from people who visited this hospital, and I always wondered how one experience could cloud our judgment about this hospital. One has to understand that one would not get the best experience every time. There will be times when you might get some bad experiences, but it does not mean that the hospital is bad. I live in the vicinity of this hospital and have always sought care here. I have faced my share of “bad experiences,” but if I take them in the context of what was happening at that particular time, I would not consider it as a bad experience. I think we need to cut the hospital and the staff some slack. They are working their a** off to ensure we are back in pink of our health and we must appreciate that

I came to Methodist University Hospital for getting some tests done. It was a great visit. I reached the front desk where a wonderful lady greeted me and informed me whom should I meet and took me to that person. She did not give instructions but took me there. It was a big positive for me. The lab tech was also great, and the tests were completed in quick time. The staff made sure that I did not face any discomfort while I was at this place. I am very happy. I will be back if any need arises.

There is an absolute lack of communication at this place. I had visited the hospital after I fell and landed heavily on my back. I came via ambulance and was taken in immediately. The ER doctor ordered a CT scan to make sure there was no fracture. I was put in a wheelchair and then taken to the lab where I was asked to wait for some time. When there was no movement even after three hours of waiting, my son went and asked the reason for the delay, and he was told that my name was not on the list. My son then went and inquired with the nurse who was adamant that my name was there. Anyways, she made a new entry and said that the scan would be done quickly. Well, it was the same situation after an hour. Finally, my son had to inform the doctor who was surprised that the scan was not yet completed. Things moved only after he got involved. Everything went off smoothly after that, and I was out of the hospital with a prescription of pain meds and bed rest. I still cannot believe that these type of things could happen in this hospital. It has left a very bad taste.
