I had a superfast ER visit. Went in with a badly bruised leg that needed stitches. Waited for 120 seconds and then the triage nurse came down. The RN did an excellent job in assisting with the treatment. The RN had great bedside manners and even cracked a few jokes. The MD comes in, stitches the leg up, and I am on my way. The total time spent in the ER – 45 minutes

I had a very bad experience when I took my father to Coon Rapids Mercy Hospital ER. The quality of care was atrocious. Even sub-Saharan countries have better care. It is not restricted to one person or two people; everybody who works in the ER and whom I interacted with during my visit was incompetent. The medical team, the social worker, housekeeping, you name the department, they were atrocious. The sucker punch was getting a bill for services rendered after eight months. The bill amount -$500. The bill came with a warning, if not paid immediately, would be sent to collections.
I paid off the bill but made a promise to myself that neither I nor any of my family members would step into this hospital.

Recently underwent a hip replacement at this great hospital. Every single person from the medical team, the nurses, doctor, surgeon, the NA, the anesthesiologists, everybody were great! They were welcoming, concerned, and kind. I was treated with respect and compassion. I am grateful to all of them. Even my extended family seeks care at Mercy, and I have never heard a complaint from them against Mercy. Thank you, Mercy Hospital for taking good care of my family!
