Shout out to McPherson Hospital staff. They took great care of me. The doctors, as well as the nurses, went way above and beyond to ensure that I received appropriate care and was comfortable during my stay of two days at this hospital. They were awesome, and so were the tech, the admin staff, the housekeeping and the EMT who got me here! Everyone was wonderful! Would definitely seek care here if the need arises.

My wife had an ER visit, which unfortunately turned into a week-long stay. During her stay, she could not find a single incident which could have made her experience here not so wonderful. The staff took excellent care of her. They explained all the labs and how was it related to her ailment and how it would be rectified. We could see the effects of the continual improvements made to the hospital. There are not enough good things that could describe her stay here. Obviously, she is not planning to stay here again, but there is a solace that we have such a hospital in our vicinity

Took my mother to the emergency room. Must say that she received great care. She was taken in quickly, and after a reasonable wait time, she was taken back to the room. The doctor was beside her in a matter of seconds. The doctor had excellent bedside manners and treated my mother with respect. He was very assuring and took pains to explain what my mother had and how was he going to address her illness. The way he spoke, it soothed my mother’s frayed nerves. He ordered some labs, and then when the results came, he explained the results to her. He did not try to rush things. Excellent care. Definitely, recommend this wonderful emergency room

Billing department at McPherson Hospital is a complete mess. I would not want to seek care here just to avoid getting into the billing department. It is time that McPherson took stock of the situation and set things right.

McPherson Hospital is a mixed bag. There are good people and good departments, but then there are also bad people and an outrageous billing department. I had the misfortune of going to McPherson hospital ER after a slip-and-fall. The intake nurse was very good and did her job professionally. However, things started going downhill after that. After an inordinate delay, I was seen by the doctor, who was very rude and condescending. He seemed to be very busy in a near-deserted ER. I was asked to get the labs and an x-ray. Both completed, I waited for another hour before the doctor saw the labs. Once the labs were negative, he just dismissed me. Finally relieved that I can go home, I visited the billing department, and these people charged me over 3000 dollars, and my co-pay was $1537…..Geez, more than 3000 dollars for a two-minute evaluation and a simple x-ray and basic blood work. Won't even send my neighbor’s dead dog here.
