Worst hospital in the entire state of Maine. The staff is very rude and highly unprofessional. I felt they were undertrained. I work in the field of healthcare and know the terms and terminologies and also how a hospital works. So I asked some questions to the nurses regarding my illness, and they just gave me a blank stare. A PA came and interviewed me. I asked the same questions and got the same blank stare. I had gone with stomach problems and asked them the causes for it etc., something which they should have known. The PA just kept quiet, wrote a painkiller and sent me out on my way!!!!

The staff at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital is great. Everyone, starting from the front desk staff, to nurses, and doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioner were great. They are kind, professional, lighthearted, funny, caring, and very knowledgeable. They tested and examined my child thoroughly. They put her through all possible tests and made sure that they eliminated all possible diagnoses. They finally diagnosed her and gave appropriate follow-up directions. They answered all the questions and made sure that we were satisfied with the treatment given to her. Nothing but praise.

I was visiting the area when I developed severe lower back pain and went to the ER to rule out a kidney stone. I was attended to very quickly. Staff was polite and very professional. The doctor also answered all of my questions. I underwent a scan which luckily ruled out a kidney stone. I am happy for the residents of this area that they have such a wonderful hospital in their vicinity. A hospital which takes excellent care of visitors is an outstanding hospital

Wife burned her hand while cooking, and the burn was serious enough to warrant an ER visit. The staff was helpful and treated her very quickly. All the people whom she interacted with were wonderful. The treatment was fast and very efficient. Thank you
