Mad River Community Hospital cheats everybody, even a vet. My VA had scheduled an MRI on January 15, 2019, for me on my left shoulder after persistent pain. However, on the day of the appointment, I was unable to visit the hospital due to personal tragedy. I got it canceled and later got the test done at a different hospital. Fast forward to March 12, I get a bill of $1000 for an MRI which was supposedly done on January 17, 2019. I was left dumbstruck. I mean how they could bill me for a service which I never took. These greedy bastards can even keep a dead person alive for getting money.

I just called them up and asked them to provide me all the details of the MRI as well as send over the results. Funnily, they were not able to find the result presently but would send it soon. Talk about being hungry for money

I had a great hospital experience while I was at Mad River Hospital. I had to go to the emergency room after I ended up ramming my car into another car as a result of the four-car pileup. I was seen and taken in immediately. The staff ran a few tests and scans for determining whether I had any major injuries. The scans showed there was no need to worry. While the tests were being run, the nursing staff took good care of me and my husband. They were courteous and very helpful. Once it was clear that I did not have any major reasons to worry, I was given all clear and discharged. I might have stayed in the hospital for nearly three hours in the ER, which included check-in and check-out.

Unfortunately, I had to visit the Mad River Hospital emergency room for a flare-up of bronchitis, on January 25th, 2019. While I was waiting for my turn, the hospital took in three very serious patients. Despite the severity of the patients' condition, I was seen by a doctor within 30 minutes. I had a very bad feeling that the patients might be at the point of no return. To my surprise, while I was being taken to a room for consultation, I saw the three patients being attended to by a team of doctors and nurses. After the doctor saw me, I could not stop myself and asked the doctor about the patients and how can she see me so quickly. The doctor smiled and said, “For us every single patient is important. When we saw that the patients were okay, we decided to look after other patients. Do not worry; they are being tended to very well.”

The hospital staff just became heroes in my eyes. I would definitely seek care at a hospital where every single patient is given importance and their time is also valued. GOOD JOB!

An amazing hospital. They actually care for you. I was seen in emergency care, and my situation warranted an overnight stay. The nursing staff went above and beyond their call of duty and got me my own room. Thanks to that, I had a very good sleep. I was discharged the next day morning. I would like to seek care at this wonderful hospital for my family and me in future
