I would like to start the review by saying that my insurance is one of the best PPO insurances around.

Now the story…I had to visit Loma Linda ER for a minor emergency and was out within an hour. I got a real shock when I got the bill. ER billing is a scam. The hospital accepts my insurance and charges one amount. OTOH, the ER physician group is not covered under my insurance and won’t accept it, which in turn allows them to charge a completely different amount, an amount which they seemed to have pulled out of nowhere. What pained me is the fact that the cost of reading a scan is also different and have to be given separately and does not fall the hospital’s costs.

Moral of the story: I am royally screwed at the end of my visit. One one-hour ER visit and a scan have set me back by thousands of dollars, and this does not count the hospital claims. Won’t recommend or return to Loma Linda Hospital.

Ended up visiting Lima Linda ER two nights back for a flare up of diverticulitis. Loma Linda rocks!!! Everyone who dealt with my care was great. The RNs, the tech, the doc, everyone was exceptional, I was taken in and back to the room very quickly, and the doctor came to evaluate me within minutes. I was advised an overnight stay and some more tests. I was finally out of the hospital the next morning. Truly appreciate the care provided to me

Excellent hospital. I loved the newish ambiance. The hospital offers great service. My father loved the care and food. We also appreciate the fact that we were given a room with a beautiful view. It certainly helped him to think positively
