Lake Regional at Osage Beach, MO sucks big time.

The care is average at the best or below average. I had the misfortune of visiting Lake Regional thrice in three months, once for myself and twice for my friends and all the three visits were nothing to write about. The nurses though friendly, were not interested in either greeting or talking with the patient to reassure them. The doctors were in the room for 10 minutes tops.

All the three times, the doctor did not ask either my friends or me what our ailment was, how did it start, you know the questions which can give the background about the problem. The doctor did not deviate from canned questions, and my friends and I felt that our care was missing the personal touch. Not sure if they or I would return to this hospital anytime soon.

I was brought to Lake Regional via ambulance after a life-threatening illness rendered me totally incapacitated. I spent about a fortnight in ICU. The staff was outstanding. They took excellent care of me. The loving manner in which the staff looked after me, it did not feel that I was in a hospital. Best service that I have got from a hospital, and I have been to my fair share of hospitals

The staff is polite; nobody can deny that fact. The only problem is that they are not sure which visit is an emergency visit and which is not. I went to this hospital after a bike accident, which resulted in severe pain and a possible broken shoulder. I was made to wait for nearly three hours, and they even forgot to give me a pain pill.

People with problems of relatively lesser severity were allowed in first (no visible injuries or illness). I was seen by an NP who gave a script for pain med and then told me to follow up with an orthopedic the next day…never saw the doc nor did they order an x-ray or any other imaging.

These guys are sure quick and know what they were doing. My wife ended up wrecking our car and had pretty visible fractures to her leg, hand, and multiple other injuries. We reached there at around 1:00 AM. Even at this hour, the care was exceptional. We were registered and checked in quickly. She was immediately taken back to the room, and then the doctor was beside her in seconds.

Scans were ordered, and wounds cleaned. Amy had a major fracture on her leg, and a fracture on her hand and both required immediate surgeries. They set up the surgery and had her shift to another hospital.

Very satisfied with the way these people worked. They did not go in circles, and the moment they felt that the injuries needed surgery, they finalized a hospital, set up the surgery, and shifted her to the hospital. Everything happened within an hour. Thanks to these angels, she is recovering. All of you would be in our prayers

Very caring staff who pride in giving quality care. Lake Regional offers exceptional care. Those who write negative things are missing the point here. Lake Regional is not a large research facility, and there is a limit to the services that they can offer. However, whatever services they offer is on par with some of the best hospitals in the world. Large research hospitals are certainly needed, but facilities like Lake Regional also have a place in this industry. I have been treated very well and have no reason to believe that it would stop anytime soon

I was a skeptic about this hospital and was very worried when I was taken to this hospital by my husband after I developed a very high fever. Their excellent service has resulted in a change of heart. These people are nothing like what has been projected about them in many forums. They are outstanding people and know what they are doing. Very impressed by this wonderful hospital. Will not hesitate to come here again
