My father was in Lake Cumberland Regional for nearly ten days with severe breathing difficulties. The entire medical staff ensured that we had wonderful hospital experience. Everyone whom we interacted with was outstanding. They were genuinely concerned about my dad and assisted us in every way possible. They also ensured that not only him, but even we were comfortable during the stay. They were caring, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The entire nursing staff present on the second floor were outstanding

Moved here from Las Vegas, about a year back for work purposes. Three days back, my husband started developing minor swelling on his left leg which progressed to extreme swelling. Went to Lake Cumberland Regional emergency room as we suspected the role of a blood clot. We were taken in very quickly by a very professional and courteous staff. They acted pretty quickly. Within minutes, my husband was in triage. The on-call doctor came within 10 minutes, inspected the leg and immediately ordered an ultrasound. The suspicion was confirmed; it indeed was a blood clot. The doctor started corrective action very promptly. I found the hospital to be very clean. The staff was excellent. Kept inquiring about our wellbeing during the entire duration of our stay. Our main concern while shifting to this place was medical care, and that concern has been addressed. My husband and I are impressed. Keep up the good work

Hasta La Vista Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital!!!!!

I had a very bad experience in the ER. The doctors and nurses were very unprofessional. They made fun of my ailment and even went on to say that I was faking illness as I wanted pain meds. One of the nurses also asked me from when did this drug habit start. Instead of providing relief, they increased my stress levels. The next time, I will drive to Lexington. I am not planning to waste my precious time and money on a bunch of mental retards who masquerade as nurses and doctors.

My experience at Lake Cumberland Regional was sort of mixed bag. The emergency room was not a good experience with the staff treating every single patient as either a drug seeker or an addict. A fresh set of legs with a clear mind is the need of the hour at the emergency room.

Coming to the radiology department, it is a great department. The staff is very friendly and also ensures that one is very calm and relaxed before undergoing a scan. I am claustrophobic but have never faced any issues with the scanning as the staff always took excellent care of me whenever I came for imaging. They are nice, helpful, informative, and understanding.

I have visited other departments also but cannot say anything about them as it was only a single visit and one cannot form an opinion with just one visit. Overall, a mixed bag.
