The emergency room at La Palma is not very customer friendly. I had visited on Tuesday morning, and the room was full of patients. Even after waiting for two hours, I did not see anybody moving from the place. Having had enough, I decided to ask the ER front desk what was taking so long and how much time would it take before the doctor sees us. The lady coolly said that she was not supposed to give out this information. I was shocked…this is not a piece of private patient information. I have seen hospitals having billboards that display this information, but this hospital did not even have that. It is best to seek care elsewhere.

Ridiculous!!!!

How long should a person wait before being seen by a doctor? My boyfriend was feeling chills and had a spiking fever. Despite it being a slow day with hardly any person in the ER, we had to wait for nearly 4 hours. We left without seeing the doctor. Ended up visiting Medpost (Los Alamitos) where the doctor was besides us within 10 minutes, and my boyfriend was diagnosed as having pneumonia!

La Palma looks very run down. The hospital does not look very inviting and not planning to visit again. Our friends had warned us against going to this shithole, but we did not listen to the sane voices. I sincerely hope that La Palma improves as it has a very good potential of becoming one of the best hospitals in this area.

Unfortunately, my husband had to visit the hospital after having had a medical emergency. For a Sunday afternoon, the wait time was not too bad. Our family usually hates visiting hospitals, but this time, we had to visit the hospital. All of my husband’s needs were met, and he is doing very well now. We are really grateful that we received such wonderful care. A special thanks to our nurse Chris who was very helpful and ready to walk that extra mile to make the patient feel comfortable.

Nurse Chris at La Palma Intercommunity Hospital ER is the best nurse that one could ever come across. Make no mistake, all of them are very great, but Chris stood out due to his exceptional care. Let’s admit it, visiting an ER is not something that everybody looks forward to, and even a routine ER visit can be very stressful. But Chris and his colleagues ensured that my visit was stress-free. The ER staff at La Palma are very kind, have a good sense of humor, highly professional, very dedicated, and most importantly ARE JUST AWESOME. Heartfelt gratitude to these exceptional people

My father had to be rushed to La Palma after he complained of uneasiness and severe chest pain. He was taken in almost immediately, and the ER doctor was by his side within a few minutes. The doctor and the nurses were very respectful, courteous, and highly professional. The staff addressed all of our needs. My father was very pleased with the service he got. Highly recommended
