My family has been visiting the Island Hospital as well as its clinics for nearly a decade now. Overall, we are satisfied with the way we have been treated. There have been one or two average to bad experiences, but these were minor irritants only. Overall, the care has been exceptional. One should remember that no hospital is perfect, but these people do strive to make it the best. I would recommend this hospital anytime.

A sincere request – CHOOSE ANY OTHER HOSPITAL FOR CARE THAN ISLAND HOSPITAL!!

I was scheduled for colonoscopy nearly three times – yes three times. I have the best health insurance out there in the market. The story goes like this – I am scheduled for a colonoscopy in August. A few days before the procedure, the hospital calls me and says the specialist no longer works for them and could I be rescheduled. I agreed to the same and was rescheduled for last week of November. I go through the entire pre-procedure rituals of taking laxatives, staying on a liquid diet, etc. The day before the procedure, the hospital calls me and says the specialist has met with an accident and won’t be able to make it. I get annoyed, but these things are unforeseen. I get re-rescheduled for April first week. As usual, I go over the rituals and am secretly happy that I did not receive any call from the hospital.

I reach the hospital on the designated date, and I am prepped for the procedure, and then it happens. The records say I canceled the appointment, but it does not show the date and time of the call for cancellation. So in the name of colonoscopy, all I got was getting my colon cleansed and did not undergo any procedure at all.

I am literally pissed off and have decided that I would never seek care at this hospital. Ridiculous!!!!

I've visited the hospital twice over one year. The first time, I was admitted for six days, and the second was an ER visit. Treated well both times. Best hospital hands down
