It's unfortunate to see a hospital lacking in empathy for its patients, despite it having trained professionals. This holds true for Hudson Regional Hospital, and the main reason for this is the staff. My brother had undergone major surgery and was in desperate pain, and we had hoped that the staff would accommodate him and at least try to make his stay comfortable and make sure that he feels as if people are there to take care of him. My brother wanted some Jello (beats me why he wanted it in the first place), but the staff nearly took an eternity for fulfilling that need. They certainly could have done better. Another thing which bugged me a lot was that the staff always cut me even before I could complete my sentence. That is very rude and I felt very offended by it. This is not professional in any way.

I hate giving reviews or reading reviews about hospitals because each person might have a different opinion on a single thing. But after what my brother went through, I think that reviews for this hospital on various other forums are correct. Sorry to say, but this hospital stay was not a pleasant one for my brother. I will be thinking twice before getting anybody to this hospital — a very bad experience.

My review is not for the medical staff but for the wonderful customer service offered by Starbucks at the hospital. Had gone to Hudson Regional Hospital with my colleague who had an appointment with a surgeon. While he was busy with it, I decided to go and have a cup of coffee. Went down to Starbucks present at the main lobby, and ordered a cup. I must say I was never treated this well by anyone anywhere. They treated me like I was a royalty. The person who served me was so wonderful. She never stopped smiling and was an expert at what she was doing. I took my colleague to Starbucks, and he was also treated like a VIP. Thank you, HRH for getting Starbucks into the hospital. At least, we could wash away our pain and worries with a cup of coffee.

Hudson Regional Hospital is the best, and I had an excellent experience at HRH from the moment I walked through the front door until the time I was discharged. The staff was excellent, friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable. They were also very attentive, considerate, and professional. The anesthesiologist explained everything, and so did my physician. Dr. Daniel Popowitz, my physician, was great and very “patient-friendly.” The doctor is very reassuring and extremely knowledgeable. Once the procedure was completed, the recovery staff took over. They were also very kind and attentive.

All in all, a wonderful hospital experience. Never thought I would be treated like this even for a same-day procedure. Thanks, HRH for employing such a wonderful team who genuinely cares for the patients.

If you care about yourself as well as your loved ones, then do a favor to yourself and your family members and stay away from Hudson Regional Hospital. My wife was down with flu, and thrice she was turned away with the diagnosis of viral fever. She had a fever of 103, severe body aches and splitting headache. Pour soul was suffering for a week to ten days. Finally, sense dawned on the physicians of HRH, and they diagnosed her as having flu. There is a twist in there also…these people did not even conduct flu test. Whatever it may be, they started treatment for the flu. But the whole thing has left a bitter taste, and we have decided never to step in here again.

Delivering your precious is a breeze if you do it at HRH. The staff is very friendly, caring and very courteous. They have some of the best nurses who always have a beautiful smile. They are also very helpful. My sister-in-law delivered her baby here, and so did I. Though I do not remember the names of nurses, but would like to thank every individual from the bottom of my heart for making this process a smooth one.

Hudson Regional Hospital is fantastic. I have always had a great experience at this hospital, and so has my family. The nurses have always treated us with respect. Same was the case with doctors and the ER team. We have felt cared for every single time. Much thanks!!! Was very apprehensive if the renovations would destroy the sense of belonging, but I am pleased to be proved wrong. I would recommend friends and my extended family to come to HRH for all their medical needs.
