I received the worst patient care in my entire life. I had to go to the ER on June 25, 2019, with spiking fever and constant vomiting. The ER triage nurse, Amy, is a disgrace to the entire medical profession. She did not care about what the other person was saying. She thought so highly of herself. I told her that I initially had a cold and fever. Her response, “Have you heard about Motrin or Tylenol? They help with these small things.” Next symptom, I have been puking non-stop for the past eight hours. Her response, “Oh, it’s nothing. Maybe indigestion.” You get the picture.

I felt as if she did not want to admit any patients into the ER. She also lied when she said I would see a doctor very soon. The “very soon” stretched to five hours. I was disgusted and left. I went to Huron Valley, where I was talking to an MD 10 minutes after being taken in.

I won’t visit this hospital again

The staff at HF hospital in West Bloomfield is very consistent when it comes to providing care. I was admitted to the floor with a stomach infection, and everybody took excellent care of me. Right from the nursing aides to nurses, doctors, specialists, to even the support staff, everybody was friendly and very professional. I was inpatient for a week and not once did they give me a chance to complain. Exceptional care. Satisfied with the way I was treated here

My PCP decided that enough was enough, and he went on a long break. Before leaving, he asked me to switch my care to HFH in West Bloomfield. Call it coincidence, I was down with a very high fever and splitting headaches two days after he left. I visited the ER and then was transferred to the floor for admission and observation. I was inpatient for nearly five days. During my entire stay, the staff treated me very well.

They ensured that I was comfortable and recovering well from my illness. The nurses were fantastic, and so were the doctors. I have decided to shift my family’s and my care to this hospital.

The only bump in this otherwise enjoyable experience was the food. It was not good. But hey, we are not going to a hospital for eating…so I would ignore that
