My mother was brought to the ER and had to be admitted for five days. She is from Illinois and was at my home when she fell ill with aggressive pneumonia. The ER team were outstanding and took excellent care of her. She was treated with the respect and kindness that she deserved. The ER team were very jovial, and their behavior immediately put my mother at ease.

They very quickly realized that she had excellent knowledge of her health and listened with intent before determining the next course of action. The docs decided to transfer her to the hospital for better care.

Even on the floor, the medical team took excellent care of her. The staff was attentive to her needs, kind, and highly knowledgeable. Everyone who was involved in her care was wonderful. Must say, this is the best experience that we've ever had, and we have been to quite a few hospitals.

I am thrilled with this hospital. They treated me well. I had visited the ER twice, once last year and once in June of this year. My experience during the previous year’s trip was shocking and best left alone. However, the ER experience during this year’s visit was a complete contrast.

The ER department has stepped up their game, especially when it comes to patient care..... have left me completely spellbound. Thank you to wonderful nurses and doctors for the compassionate care that I got here. You made me feel at home.

The worst! This hospital does not tell the exact prices to a patient. They quote one price, and then when the procedure is over, they quote another price. My mother had a hernia, and it reached a stage where surgery was required to address it. The hospital quoted $8,000.00 in cash. I was told that this was the final price and the amount which I would have to pay if I do not have any insurance. I felt happy, and my mother underwent surgery.

The real twist in the tale came once we got admitted here. These ba*&^%ds added many sundry charges upfront. My final bill came to nearly $10,000 cash. When I went to contest the bill, I got the worst customer service ever. The billing staff was eating burgers and pizza and working on the charts. They did not even listen to me. Their stock answer to the whole thing was “You have to pay the entire amount.”

Never felt so bad in my whole life…they cheated me and have no remorse

An excellent and very compassionate team of nurses and doctors. These people did not hesitate to go above and beyond while taking care of me. They helped me to be comfortable during my four-day stay in the hospital. The care was excellent, and after a week I was fully recovered from the ailment. Best experience ever!!!! Thank you

I had to take my daughter to HH Memorial Hospital ER a few nights back. We were mistreated. The nurse, (I think it was C. Johnson) was very mean and uncaring. Her demeanor and how she interacted with my daughter made it amply clear that she hates children and consider them as a nuisance. It was not just my daughter, she was rough with every kid who was present in the hospital.

Lady, nurses are supposed to be very caring and nurturing. If you do not like what you are doing, then it is best if you quit.

The saving grace was an excellent doctor. But the behavior of the nurse still haunts my daughter…not sure of stepping in again.

I visited the Hazel Hawkins ER last year in December. I received wonderful care when I was there. The nurse was amazing and had a handle on the things. The ER doctors were very knowledgeable and were able to diagnose my ailment and provide appropriate care. Very thankful to the doctors and nurse. I have not felt the need to visit an emergency room ever since, but if any need arises, I know where to go
