Worst hospital experience ever. I will never step into this joke of an emergency room EVER.

My wife was suffering from pneumonia and was complaining of excruciating pain, and labored breathing. The ER doctor sees her for a total of “three minutes,” does not use the stethoscope to check her, scribbles something and walks off saying he is busy with other patients. After some time, the nurse comes and inserts an IV. We do not see the doctor again. After four hours, I see the guy leisurely enjoying his food at the front desk. I walk up to him angrily and ask him, “How long before you make a proper diagnosis of my wife…” The guy looks stunned. He did not expect this ambush. He escapes from the place before I could grab him. I go to the room and tell my wife everything. We call the nurse, ask her to remove the IV and then walk out AMA.

Had a good experience at Hackettstown Hospital ER. It was clean, efficient and the staff was polite and considerate. I underwent successful emergency surgery. The quality of care was wonderful. I would recommend this hospital for all your surgical needs.

I was scheduled to undergo surgery at Hackettstown, but I was not convinced if this was the appropriate hospital. I have heard horror stories about it. My husband then weighed in with his opinion. He said, “Honey, those are emergency room visits…things can get in tough there…but you are going to have a same-day surgery and reviews for them are great.” That sealed the discussion. I am happy I listened to my husband. I went in and had a successful surgery. The nurses were wonderful and took good care of me. The surgeon was also a very nice person. I would recommend visiting Hackettstown for surgery.

Staff in surgery and on the floor are great. They are professional and very attentive. I met with a car accident and was rushed here in an ambulance. I had to undergo repeated tests after the doctor in the ER was convinced that something was not right and he ended ordering more tests which showed that there was a fracture in my cervical bones and upper back and some ruptured muscles, which was the cause of the pain. I was shifted to the floor where treatment was started immediately. The doctor on the floor was also great and very professional, and so were the nurses. I will recommend this hospital.
