Never faced this situation before. I had gone to Gulf Breeze Hospital a few days back with severe lower back pain. I was taken in immediately and was told that there was only one person before me and my number would come soon. In the meantime, a nurse came and took the vitals and also a urine sample. She said, “See you in ten minutes.” I was happy, and before long I fell asleep. When I woke up, nearly three hours had passed. I went to check with the nurse about my status. Her answer was epic, “I called your name and also came to call you, but you were busy sleeping, so did not disturb you.” I asked her if I can go in now. She said the doctor was not there and I would have to wait.

I was kicking myself for sleeping. I told the nurse, she could have woken me up. I came to the ER for a specific reason, so that was more important than getting a good rest. I could have got that in my home also. Not sure whose fault it is – mine or the nurse. Needless to say, I had to go to another ER where I was seen quickly.

My wife was admitted to the Gulf Breeze hospital for an illness. I must say we had good hospital experience. The medical staff was very attentive and super nice, and this was pervasive - the admission team, the ER team as well as the nursing care on the floor. We did not have any issues in interacting with them, and they were always at our beck and call. One can say they attended to us within 5 to 10 minutes. The doctor was also wonderful. She was a nice lady who explained to us, in layman’s terms what ailed my wife and what was the way forward. She also kept us in the loop at every stage and never did we feel that something was being hidden from us. We have been highly impressed with this hospital and would not hesitate to visit again if the need arises.

The team of doctors and nurses at Gulf Breeze Hospital were amazing. They took me in very quickly after diagnosing me with a severe allergic reaction. They treated me well and while discharging, gave all the appropriate advice to prevent a recurrence. They were knowledgeable and professional.
