The quality of care at this hospital has gone to dogs. Ever since this hospital has been taken over by Unity Point, the friendly neighborhood facility has become more attracted to money and less towards patient care.

I had to be admitted for surgery and observation afterward. Due to the nature of the operation, the surgeon had instructed that I should be repositioned every hour…well, the nurses were so great that they ended up repositioning me only after three or four hours. When questioned, they very calmly said that they had other work to do and this ranked way below in their priorities. This was across the shifts.

The doctors were also no better. I was very happy when the surgeon gave me the go-ahead for discharge. The cheery on the top of the pie was the “excellent” billing…it was outrageous…could not believe it

The ER doctor and the nurse are so rude and have no empathy towards a patient. My sister had to come to the ER with high fever, a cough that was not going away and a nagging cold. The nurse seemed very angry at my sister for coming there for fever. According to her, there are far more severe emergencies and things like cough and fever would go away on its own.

The doctor parroted the same thing and rushed through the care. I was kicking myself for coming here to seek care. Will not repeat the mistake.

We were driving through and unfortunately had to seek the ED’s services after I suddenly felt very dizzy and was not able to concentrate while driving. I drove in, and the care which I got pleasantly surprised me. The ER front desk and nurses took care of all my paperwork and insurance. I was taken in immediately, and then after a 10-minute wait, I was taken back to the room where I was joined by a wonderful doctor.

After a thorough evaluation, the doctor diagnosed my ailment as lack of food…she suggested that I take frequent breaks in between and have something to eat or else I have issues with gas formation and other completely avoidable problems.

I had last visited this wonderful hospital a year ago, and I can say with 100% honesty that the care which I got was the best. The doctor was a very nice lady who had the patience to listen to me, order tests while explaining the need for it and then explaining the result in simple English language. Very happy with the outstanding service I have got here.

While I pray that I do not need to visit again, but I can be satisfied that if needed then I can always come here and get the best possible care

This hospital has been my family’s go-to hospital for any medical issue. They have always provided great care, and we have never witnessed any laxity in services during the many visits that we have had here. Thank you, GRMC, for treating my family well
