I was checking out different facilities in the neighborhood to find out which one I wanted for my delivery, and got a nice tour of all the facilities- it was quick and efficient, just the way I like it. Even though there’s nothing quite impressive about the building from the outside, the inside is nice and renovated, it has a lot of good facilities and the staff are nice and attentive. What I like most about this facility is that it has really good parking- ample space and easy to locate directions. There is also a nice regional park across from the hospital, it is well located and easy to find. Nice!

As a heart broken soldier, I was considering committing suicide as soon as I left the hospital again. But thanks to Nurse Helen, I have a new purpose for life. I may be in love (lol) but at least I am not thinking of killing myself again. Love the staff here and how supportive everyone is. It’s not so bad being a veteran after all.

My review about Fountain Valley is somewhat mixed, so bear with me. Also keep in mind that I just gave birth to a premature baby two weeks ago so my emotions are all over the place. Even so, I decided to write this review because it is somewhat concerning but also has a lot of good to say about this place.

For starters let me commend the amazing team at the L&D unit at Fountain Valley. You guys really did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable during my delivery, even though I made it rather evident that y’ all weren’t my first choice. Even with all the yelling and screaming everyone was very calm, treated me with utmost patience and never once said anything back to all the accusing and name calling (again, sorry).

Anyway it was a premature baby so I was a little nervous but the amazing OB made sure everything was okay even though the baby was extremely pale. We were allowed to go home after a few days and that’s when he started having issues.

We were woken up by a weird noise coming from the crib and noticed that our baby boy was having trouble breathing and looked paler than he already was. We rushed him back to Fountain Valley only this time to the ER. I was crying hysterically while clutching onto my premie and demanded to see a doctor. The receptionist looked sternly at me as though she was enraged by the fact that I’d disturbed her little nap. When I showed her the baby she didn’t seem to care and said I had to wait.

After taking him to another hospital’s ER we found out that he had an apnea spell and required urgent medical attention. I went back to Fountain Valley the following day and gave a good hearing to the ignorant receptionist and lodged a formal complaint against her. They had her fired and thank god for that because such incompetent people better stay away from places as serious as hospitals.

I am a volunteering student and have come to this hospital twice this week already. Both times have been wonderful experiences, very enjoyable with some of the best medical staff I’ve ever worked with before. It’s like a fun day at school or something. Very fun and I can’t wait to come back.

There are so many things wrong with this place. I don’t even know where to start. If I were to write a detailed list, it would take me days. But that list will be sent to the hospital to compensate for my horrific stay. For those of you looking to get admitted here, be warned. They have bed bugs- something I’ll never forget. Had to stay here for 3 days and literally ran out of thereafter. The doctors are very lazy, won’t come to see you regularly unless reminded by the nurses. The service, in general, is lousy, they forget to bring you meals. The nurses are kind but treat you very roughly. Even when I ask them to be more gentle they don’t listen. They don’t clean the bathrooms or rooms even once.
