Very impressed with Flagstaff Medical Center located in Coconino County. I was passing through the town and unfortunately ended up breaking my ankle. Surgery was required to set right the ankle, which required overnight admission. The staff was amiable and took care of the insurance issues. The nurses ensured that my overnight stay was comfortable. Surgery was done the next day and passed off without any hiccups. I was discharged a few hours later. Everyone in this staff was wonderful. This hospital is highly recommended

The birthing center at Flagstaff Medical Center is fantastic. It is staffed by some of the most wonderful nurses that you can come across. They are awesome. Always ready to help. They were very attentive to Jane’s needs. The rooms were huge and offered beautiful views! They also provided a nice couch for me to lie down and take some rest. The room also had a mini-fridge and a functional bathroom with a shower and a tub! Joanna was also educated on how to take care of our princess. Food was also very good. Very satisfied with the service

I had to visit the ER after a bike accident left me severely injured. The ER trauma staff was swift and attended to me in seconds. I had a few major fractures and some internal injuries which needed surgery. My surgeon was Dr. Nicole Sydow, M.D. He and this team are the reason why I am still alive today. The operation was a success, and I was placed in the ICU for a week.

The nurses in the ICU were attentive, professional, and extremely competent. They were also very friendly and made sure that I was comfortable and kept my wife updated regarding my status.

Flagstaff Medical Center knows how to deal with trauma. Highly recommended.

I did not have a good experience in the ER.

I had to visit this ER because of a severe foot pain which had refused to subside. I am taken in, and after a reasonable time, the doctor sees me and orders an x-ray. The results come, and the x-ray is clean. The doctor gives some pain medicines and discharges me.

The pain refuses to go away, and I seek a second opinion. The doctor immediately orders an MRI scan of the back and the leg, which shows a nerve entrapment. Appropriate treatment is started, and three weeks into treatment, I am feeling much better.

I am disappointed that the doctor at FMC did not think of it and order an MRI scan. He just thought of the leg and nothing related to it…No out-of-the-box thinking. I have decided to shift my care to some other place where the doctor would not work with a narrow vision.
