I decided to deliver our first child at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, and it was a very good decision. The experience that I had during the labor and delivery were out of this world. The nurses were amazing and guided me through every stage of the pregnancy, as well as during and after childbirth.

The doctors were outstanding and always encouraged me to think positive. Even when there was an unforeseen complication during labor, and the child was at risk, they did not allow me to get depressed or wallow in pity. They handled the problem with consummate ease and thanks to them, I can hold my princess in my hand.

It would not be wrong if I say that I had a very magical experience. If we plan on having a second child, then we know where to seek care

This was the quickest ER visit I have had here. I had a fall and hurt my knee and ankle very badly. I went to FMH ER where I was triaged in very quickly and within a few minutes, a doctor came to see me. The doctor was a nice lady and had exceptional bedside manners. She evaluated me, manually palpated the knee and ankle, and ordered a scan which showed just a minor crack at the knee and a bone contusion on the ankle.

Appropriate treatment was initiated, was given pain meds, and I was on the way. The entire thing was completed in two hours which is very fast considering the fact that 1 hour was spent on waiting for the results of the CT.

The hospital was very clean, and everyone whom I interacted with was friendly. Very impressed with the care received!!!! Worth recommending

A peculiar situation arose when I visited the ER of Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. The nurse was very nice, but the doctor seemed a little aloof. He kept on insisting that I was okay, and there was nothing wrong with my stomach.

I kept on pleading with him to get a scan of my stomach so that I would be satisfied. He just did not budge. I do not know what his problem was with me getting a CT scan of the stomach. I was very disappointed with his behavior, and I decided to seek care elsewhere. Not sure I would like to come back here again!!!
