East Orange General Hospital should stop calling itself a “hospital.” It is a joke of a hospital. The services offered by this garbage is pathetic. I waited for nearly 90 minutes for these idiots to check me in. The ER was completely deserted, and there were no patients in the patient room also. I was not able to fathom why the inexplicable delay. It was not as if the nurses were busy with some work. The only work they were doing was goofing around. Apart from the goofing nurses, the security guard was also wasting time; a very nasty person. I did not seek care here. After 90 minutes, just upped and left. BTW, I had gone to the ER with chest pain.

We had to visit the EOGH emergency room last month after my wife developed what seemed like stroke symptoms. Jessie was taken in very quickly, and the team attended to her in an instant. The doctor who was leading the team handling her care was phenomenal. He was a gentleman and did not waste any time in asking irrelevant questions. He was to the point and started care after he got to know the basic details. Thanks to the quick care, Jessie started responding to the treatment. The doctor did not abandon Jessie after she started responding to care; kept on coming back to ensure there was no slackness in her care. By God’s grace, Jessie did not have a stroke. Spent three days here and she was then discharged. These people did a great job in making her normal again

I would keep this hospital in mind in case of any emergencies.

I had settled in this area only a few months back and as such, had not established a primary care. A few days after coming to this area, ended up getting an allergic reaction, bad enough to make me seek emergency care. The team who handled me were great. My visit lasted less than an hour. The nurses and the doctor was nice and very knowledgeable. I had a good experience here. Thank you
