I just came back from East Jefferson General Hospital after open-heart surgery. I am so grateful that I have such a wonderful hospital in my vicinity. They provided superb care in case of an emergency. The staff, including the doctor and the surgeon, were professional. The nurses ensured that all my needs were taken care of. Thank you, EJGH, for saving my life!!!!

Emergency Room at East Jefferson General Hospital is pathetic. I had a horrible experience here. My wife and I had to visit this ER after she complained of severe stomach pain and was nearly passing out from the pain when we reached here. We were taken in and after a 30-minute wait, were seen by the doctor. The doc ordered a CT scan, and we had to wait for nearly 90 minutes to get the scan. Yet another three-hour wait ensued to get the results. The scan confirmed kidney stones.

Apart from the terrible wait times, we had to ensure some of the rudest nurses and a doctor who did not like to be questioned. He kept on cutting me off when I asked something. When I asked him about the next step, he said very rudely, “We will take care of it. Do not teach us what to do.” WOW!!! It is my right to know what are you going to do with my wife. The doctor and the nurse also had zero bedside manners. I had enough and decided to seek care elsewhere. I asked these bozos to discharge my wife. The discharge process was a story in itself. Won’t bother with details. Suffice to say, they did everything possible to ensure that the discharge was delayed as much as possible. Beyond Ridiculous!!!!

My family has been visiting this hospital for the past decade and have always got excellent care. Our children were born here; we do our diagnostics here, as well as have our routine annual care. I will not say that every visit was hunky-dory and we never faced any problem. We did face some issues over the past decade, but they were not severe enough to warrant seeking care elsewhere.

The rooms are quiet. The premises are clean. The doctors and nurses are ready to answer your questions and walk that extra mile to ensure things are done as per your satisfaction. All in all, a wonderful hospital that offers excellent quality care. Thank you, EJGH!
