As with every hospital, the billing department at Columbia Memorial Hospital is an absolute nightmare. The figures mentioned are correct, but the problem is something else. They seek payment from you even before these idiots send it to you. They also seek payment for the bills for which payment has been made in full. I was once asked to pay a bill for care which I sought two years earlier. The most recent incident was when these people called me up and asked me to make a payment for a bill which had still not been generated. I do not believe things can go worse than this….planning to seek care somewhere else. These people are not worth the hassle.

I have visited the ER several times, and each time, I have been treated very well, in fact, much better than some of the big hospitals. The last time I visited this hospital was when I had a severe stomach ache and was rushed to the ER. The visit ended with me undergoing emergency surgery. These people also allowed me to use a small, private ER room where I was admitted in for sleeping and recuperation. The staff was very attentive to every need of mine, be it less pain medication or avoidance of dye during the scans. They ensured that till the time I was in the hospital, I was very comfortable. After two days, I was discharged to the care and warmth of my home. I am least bothered by what others have to say about this building. I got exceptional care here, and that is enough for me. The only complaint I have against these folks is that I did not get the details about my illness before undergoing surgery. While in the ER, it was understood, but before undergoing the operation, I should have got the information folder. Other than this minor irritant, I had a wonderful experience at this hospital.

I received exceptional care at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Let’s face a fact – this hospital might not attract the brightest of minds to provide medical care at this hospital, but the staff that we have here is the best. They are very professional and take the utmost care of you. I have been to the hospital quite a few times and never was I made to repent my decision. I am satisfied with the care that I received here.
