The staff at this hospital have an extreme attitude and zero manners.

I called this hospital to check the availability of a bed for my relative. A guy named Joshua answered the call. I inquire about the bed, and I get a rude NO. I ask if I can put a patient in the waiting list, again a NO. I tell him, the person has bipolar and needs treatment. Joshua answers very brusquely, “Go to Orange County ER. Get admitted and then we will see.” The person would not budge even after I told him that the concerned patient is already in a mental facility in Pasadena, but is a resident of Orange County. When I told him that he was very rude to me and I wanted to speak to his supervisor, the guys smirks and says “I am the supervisor for the day.” I cut the call. I shudder to think what would be the fate of all those people who call this hospital. Guys, please get him off duty, or else you might end up facing a lawsuit from some pissed off caller.

I find it funny that many people actually say bad things about this hospital, but invariably end up going there. Yes, there are a few rotten apples in the hospital, but everyone is not like that. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Despite the immense pressure on them, they stay calm and always have a smile on their face and are ready to help the patients. They treated my nephew well. Just my two cents.

College Hospital Costa Mesa has a wonderful psych ward. There is nothing wrong or illegal that is happening behind the closed doors. The staff is great. They are highly professional, very endearing and friendly. If you or your family has got some mental issues, then this is where you should come.

The doctor who treated me was excellent. The nurse was also superb. He seemed to know his way around and was always there in case I needed anything. I had gone there on my own will after having to endure a tragedy in the family and a very messy divorce. I was literally on edge during those times. The doctor helped me get back to normalcy and taught me various coping skills. Thanks to the wonderful care, I an normal again and feel confident to face any issues that I might encounter in the future.
