I was rushed to the Candler Hospital ER after I fainted at work. I was pretty dehydrated as I was down with fever and was not in a mood to eat. The intake was quick, and I regained my consciousness on the ER bed. The doctor ordered blood tests and an IV. The IV was set up quickly. The tests were completed, and then the torture began. We were first told that the results would be given in thirty minutes. We waited for thirty minutes and then asked for the results. “Soon” was the reply. The “soon” stretched to nearly three hours. Finally, the results were ready, but the doctor was nowhere to be seen. Another two-hour wait ensued, and finally, after six exhausting hours, I was on my way home. This long wait was totally unnecessary. Six hours for getting results and then getting discharged without any medical treatment, cannot believe it. I will think twice before seeking care here

Terrible experience overall. The nurses and doctors did not take me seriously. The ER doctor was an idiot. I told him I am allergic to certain meds, and I cannot take them. What does he do? Prescribes the same meds and would not listen to anything that I was saying. My complete evaluation was finished in less than three minutes. How do I know? I timed it.

I did not fill my prescription and sought care from another hospital. I won’t be back and will also inform my family and friends about the idiot doctor and non-existent care.

I had to visit this hospital twice for undergoing surgeries – the first one planned and the second one, an emergency. Both the times, I was treated well. The nurses and the surgeon were great. My scheduled surgery started on time and ended successfully. The staff ensured that my wife was kept in the loop during the entire procedure. The recovery went off well, and I was discharged to home a few days later. Fast forward to last month, I, unfortunately, end up needing emergency surgery. The care this time also was exceptional, was taken well care of, and the surgery was a success. Recovery was good, and I am now on the long and arduous path to recovery.

My baby boy was born here. The nursing staff was excellent. They were very knowledgeable and taught my wife basic tips about parenthood. Susan was also taught by an excellent lactation nurse (not sure if they call them that at this hospital). She was very patient and helped Susie calm down when she was not able to provide milk to Adrian. Overall, great care. I would suggest this hospital to all the mothers to be.

The only suggestion I have for this hospital is – please upgrade your furniture. It is a pain in the a** sleeping on a hard surface while waiting for your baby.

I rushed my grandpa to this Emergency Department after he started complaining of breathing difficulties. The staff was great and did not wait for the paperwork to be completed. Since time was of the essence, they started the treatment process while I filled out the details. Thanks to their quick thinking, my grandpa is still alive today. The staff was very thorough, highly professional, and knowledgeable. They were compassionate. The staff made sure my grandpa was at ease while he was seeking care here, and so was I. Very satisfied with the care…keep it up, folks
