I received the best treatment that I could get at this wonderful hospital. The staff was very professional and extremely caring. I had visited the ER with high blood pressure. The intake nurse helped me to fill out the forms, and I was seen in 10 to 15 minutes. The on-call doctor was very friendly and explained to me the main cause of high blood pressure and what had caused the spike in blood pressure in me. He wrote out a script for antihypertensives.

I am pleased with the experience that I have had at this great hospital.

I had undergone PET scan at this hospital a few years back. I cannot thank enough the lady who took the scan. She was kind and very sweet. She treated me as if I was a child, gave me a good bear hug and in her sweet voice asked what made me come here. I was very tense and afraid, but she helped me calm down. I am talking about 2016. I know the review can seem like a dated one, but I have never experienced such warmth and affection anywhere else. The angel’s name was Laura Smith. Laura, if you are still there, then a big shout out. Thanks for taking good care of me.

When I had decided to take treatment here, I had submitted my insurance to the billing department to check whether it was in their network. They said it is there, so I decided to go ahead with the treatment. After a month of treatment, I am told that my insurance was out of network. I was shocked and nearly got a heart attack. I got a very long and expensive bill which I am settling to this day. I would suggest people cross verify with their insurance if it is covered at this hospital or else you might end up in my situation.

The staff and the doctors at The Boone hospital are weird. I had gone to the ER with severe pain in my right leg after a fall and what the doctor says – “Don’t worry. It would go away on its own.” OH!! Is that so, I did not know that. The same thing happened to my dad. He got admitted with severe backache, and the nurse takes one look and coolly asks, “You seem to be in pain.” No, he just came to while away some time….Come on guys; you are freaking all of us out.
