If the rating scale went from 0 to 5 I’d give Beaumont a -10. Such incompetence, OMG it’s like you’re at a graveyard. At least that’s how they treat you..like you’re DEAD already!!! A lot of times I had to call out for the nurses asking them to tend to me. Other times the doctors would just come in for 2 minutes a day and poof- never to see them again.

It’s a load of bull crap is what it is. Beaumont seemed so promising on online reviews but when it came to real life I was treated like a dog. Had to get myself checked in, didn’t have any relatives or family members helping me and once I got to my room that was it. Almost like everyone had forgotten about me.

I asked them before checking in if I could get my dinner a little earlier (they said it was served at 7 pm) and I was surprised when the food didn’t even come in at 7! An hour and a half they made me wait.. for my dinner. I pressed the call button, but no response. When a nurse came in an hour later I told her about the call button and she said it didn’t work.

When I asked her why the food came so late she said she was busy serving other patients and that I wasn’t the only one she tended to. A little too much aggression for a very simple question presented calmly to her. This made me want to scream. Kept my cool for the next two days. Figured it was no use throwing a fit at a lady who was supposed to tend to me. When I was leaving I asked her to look up the word compassion and that she would need it in this profession and left. *Mic drop*.

The imaging center at Beaumont is a laugh and a half! To think that they are an established organization is beyond me. I called them early in the day to make an appointment and they took forever to get my name right .After that when I went in for my appointment they claimed I never made an appointment. This was outrageous!! I did everything Icould to prove that I’d actually made an appointment but all in vain. I realized there was no point trying to prove myself right to a hospital that was so careless. Left at that instant and decided never to go back.

My step mother has been raving about this hospital for so many years that when I needed a pap smear I decided, Beaumont it is! Man, not going to lie, they really are the sweetest people ever. I have heard such awful stories about hospitals and how they ill treat you but not this hospital. Very professional in their approach towards patients. Love.

I don’t like how casual the doctors are, always engaging in small talk and never actually getting ot the point. My son was admitted in this hospital after a sports injury and a muslim doctor was in charge of him. I’m not racist but he was just not a good doctor. After first meeting my son and inspecting his wounds all he could talk about was his glory days when he used to be a sports stud himself.

He wouldn’t shut up about it. When he was finally done I changed the subject back to my son and he went on talking about some rubbish, avoiding all the medical talk. It was very annoying but of course he was the doctor so I didn’t want to be in his bad books.

I feared he was avoiding confrontation related to a surgery my son might need. Thankfully that was not the case but he made me worry unnecessarily so for that I blame him. A very unprofessional take on patients, especially when the patients are teenagers.! I saw him chatting up another female doctor and wondered if all the doctors at this hospital were like this. Pitiful!

The ER is incredible! Very welcoming and warm staff members who will take good care of you. Not only the patients but the family of the patient. I was very scared for my mother in law who broke her hip but they have staff assigned to calm the family down too and explain to them what needs to be done, etc. Very nice place.

Do. Not. Go. Here. If you value your life, do not go here. If that wasn’t clear enough, I’ll say it again, you will regret your decision if you go here. Everyone is hot and heavy headed- they won’t listen to anyone, won’t take anyone else’s opinions or even value the family’s feelings. It was a god awful experience and I damn sure am never going back there.

Beaumont Oakwood Dearborn has been my entire childhood- have been walking in and out of these doors for years now, my mother was the head nurse at the time. So most of my after school shenanigans happened here. Also one of the main reasons that made me want to get into the medical field. A true inspiration, this hospital.
