My wife delivered our first baby here two weeks back. We have had nothing but some fantastic experiences as well as interactions with the exceptional staff across the board. The nurses in labor and delivery were gems. This was our first child, and we were anxious about it. But the doctors and nurses handled the situation very well. They made Annie comfortable and calm. The nurses have more than two decades of experience, and it really showed in the way they work. The doctors and nurses were knowledgeable and helpful!

Highly impressed with the entire team

I have had previous heart issues, and I am very particular when something goes out of sync with my heart.

Last month, I had felt something weird with my heart, and I rushed here. Well, it was a big mistake. There is no cardiac catheterization lab in Banner Gateway. As a matter of fact, Banner Gateway did not have anything that could be closely associated with cardiac care. I would suggest visiting either Banner on Dobson or Banner Heart if you have any heart issues.

Coming to Banner Gateway, there could not have been a more disorganized hospital than this. I have visited some other hospitals where things move smoothly. But here everything is all over the place. I had to wait for more than three hours before my number would come, and during this time, three nurses came to take my blood and vitals; all for different purposes, it seems.

I could see that the medical staff were not quite sure how to handle my case. A nurse came and even suggested that I needed an ultrasound…ultrasound for a heart problem. Now that was a new one.

I felt I would be risking my life if I sought care here. I decided to leave before being seen.

Doctors’ politics nearly killed my wife. Beth had a medical problem, and she was being administered a particular medicine by a doctor. She was improving very rapidly. However, a rival doctor felt that the drug was not suitable and stopped it completely. Upon stoppage, deterioration in Beth’s health was rapid. I was worried and contacted the supervisor and sought discharge. I did not want to lose Beth due to doctors’ politics.

I got her admitted to another hospital, where she was treated exceptionally well.

I would suggest people to avoid visiting Banner Gateway because who knows what might happen due to doctors’ politics

We had a very quick ER visit. The staff was amiable and updated us on our status regularly. The wait time was a bit longer, but that was due to two emergencies that required urgent attention. The support services also offered tea and a sandwich when they realized that we did not have our lunch. Very thoughtful

Staff at Banner Gateway is super nice. I have been to Banner Gateway ER a few times over the past few weeks for different reasons, and all the time, the staff took excellent care of me. The only issue was long ER wait times, but then that is generally the case in almost all the hospitals in the country. The care that one could expect here is exceptional.
